Google has set April 21st, 2015 as the deadline for all websites to be responsively designed to adapt to mobile phones, tablets and devices. Many business owners still have the older non-responsive websites with separate mobile site add-ons. Although these type of websites may get a short reprieve, ultimately, they too will fall victim to Google’s directive to lower their rankings unless their main website is mobile responsive.
Fortunately, many of our clients already have responsively designed websites. When the technology first became available a few years ago, we made the point to specifically design ALL of our websites responsively anticipating the time when something like this event may occur. Thankfully, we were well prepared and correctly anticipated these changes by Google. Most of our clients are already compliant and the few that were not, have recently been converted over to responsively designed websites. However, for those who have not made the required changes, it seems now that the impact will be even greater than we first thought.
It’s not too late to convert your older website over to responsive design. Contact us today or call 802-233-3261 if you have any questions.
